Loeries 2025 Big Wins: Creativity Crowned (And We’re Cheering Loud)

The Loeries Creative Week in Cape Town hit its high note on 10 October 2025 at City Hall, capping off months of judging, entries, juries, and buzz. The night’s headline was Joe Public walking away with both Agency of the Year and Independent Agency of the Year honors. That’s rare double glory. 


Alongside that, Chicken Licken was named Brand of the Year — making their creative campaigns impossible to ignore.

  • Integrated Campaign – Gold went to Joe Public for Chicken Licken: Why Choose — a campaign that resonated deeply in message and execution. 
  • In film crafts, Giant Films’ “Piki Piki Mabelane” (for Chicken Licken) snagged Grand Prix for Performance and also Craft Gold in direction — proof that when script, camera, and actor align, magic happens. 
  • New Launch Campaign – Gold: Forever Golf by Ogilvy for Volkswagen SA. Brands launching new products got elevated this year. 
  • Comedic Impact had double golds: TBWA Hunt Lascaris for City Lodge: “Save our stay” and BigTime Creative Shop for General Entertainment Authority: Obsession. Because humor + creativity = love from jurors. 
  • In the leadership and legacy space: Nayla Tueni (CEO & editor-in-chief of An- Nahar) won the Marketing Leadership & Innovation Award, and Dr Biodun Shobanjo was inducted into the Loeries Hall of Fame.
