Why This Festival Matters—To You (Yes, You!)
  • Talent Showcase: Every nominee represents a high-calibre performer who makes scripts sing. Casting directors, take notes—you know where the gold is.
  • Industry Momentum: The festival aligns storytelling with visibility, and that blue carpet? Priceless exposure for creatives and KingClip talent alike.
  • Festival Vibes = Launch Pads: With screenings, pitches, masterclasses, and awards, opportunities for networking, craft growth, and casting magic are raining down.

KingClip’s Quirky Callout Moment

Charlie Theron once joked about there being only “44 Afrikaans people in South Africa.” If that’s true, clearly she hasn’t met these nominees—because South African Afrikaans creators are a vibrant, thriving force, and they’re here in force. From Die Byl to Mince jou hare, these storytellers are anything but imagination-constrained.

  • Follow the nominees—these are your peers, your inspiration, and maybe your next casting partner.
  • Tune in on 24 August on kykNET or head to CTICC live with your showreel on your phone. Opportunity knocks—even softly.
